Product and application brief
J-shaped anchor bolts use a curved end and a threaded projecting section. The finished dimensions should be taken from the approved foundation drawing.
Send the foundation or equipment-base detail rather than a photo alone. Describe the curved-end dimensions and the required relationship between embedded and exposed sections.
Specification checklist for quotation
The table defines the information to send, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved technical specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Diameter and length | Rod diameter and overall dimension with measurement convention |
| Hook geometry | Hook diameter / radius, return length and orientation |
| Thread | Thread designation, length and exposed projection |
| Material reference | Required material or anchor-rod standard and grade |
| Mating parts | Nuts, washers and any positioning template |
| Finish and quantity | Coating extent, quantity by drawing revision and destination |
Selection and compatibility
J-shaped and L-shaped rods are separate drawing-defined products. Do not substitute between them without review of the foundation and installation detail.
A J-shaped appearance does not establish pull-out resistance or suitability for a foundation. Geometry, material and the concrete anchorage design must be approved for the project.
Prepare the order brief
Send a controlled drawing or complete product reference, plus quantities by size. Identify the inspection reports, packaging and shipping requirements needed for your order. If a requirement is not settled, mark it as needing confirmation rather than assuming a substitute.
Read the anchor bolts enquiry checklist before submitting your parts list.
Can you quote from a sample photograph?
A photograph can help identify the family, but a quotation for a controlled part also needs measurable geometry, material, finish and quantity. Identify any dimensions that still need confirmation.

Technical reference
ASTM F1554 identifies anchor-rod requirements, not mechanical expansion-anchor requirements. Use the project-required grade and revision.
