Keep the grade systems distinct
Property classes such as 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 apply within specific metric fastener requirements. ASTM grades such as A325 and A490 belong to structural product requirements under F3125. They are not automatic substitutes.
Include assembly requirements
Name the bolt, nut and washer standards, finish, dimensional requirements and tests. Project-specific requirements take precedence over general comparisons.
