Product and application brief
Provide the nut reference and the part it must fit. The enquiry should distinguish standard-height, thin or other drawing-defined nut geometry instead of treating all hexagonal nuts as one interchangeable item.
Specification checklist for quotation
These are the inputs needed to review an enquiry, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Product reference | Nut standard / edition or controlled drawing |
| Thread | System, nominal diameter, pitch and specified tolerance |
| Nut geometry | Height, across-flats and other required dimensions |
| Mechanical requirement | Specified nut grade / class under its own governing reference |
| Finish | Required surface condition and mating-fit requirement |
| Order | Quantity, bolt / stud reference, documents and destination |
Selection and compatibility
Use a hex nut for the specified plain nut arrangement. A flange nut or nylon-insert lock nut requires a separate product definition and assembly review.
Do not treat a bolt property class as the complete nut specification. Required strength, fit, finish and documentation must be established for the nut and the mating assembly.
Can you quote nuts together with bolts or studs?
Send both product references and quantities per set, including washers where required. We review the requested components and state the quotation scope before ordering.
Prepare your order brief
Attach a controlled drawing or complete product reference and list quantities by size. Define the required inspection, packaging and delivery destination. Mark unresolved details for confirmation instead of assuming a substitute. We review availability, finish, MOQ and production timing against the actual enquiry before the order is agreed.
