Product and application brief
Identify the nut style and insert requirement, together with the bolt or stud it will engage. Include any specified temperature, chemical exposure, reuse restriction or prevailing-torque acceptance requirement in the enquiry.
Specification checklist for quotation
These are the inputs needed to review an enquiry, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Product style | Nut reference, revision, height and insert arrangement |
| Thread and mate | System, diameter, pitch, tolerance and mating bolt / stud |
| Nut body | Specified metal, class and dimensional requirements |
| Insert and service | Required insert specification and approved service conditions |
| Finish and tests | Coating and required locking-performance verification |
| Order | Quantity, reports, packing and destination |
Selection and compatibility
Keep nylon-insert and all-metal lock-nut requirements separate. A general hex nut or a flange nut should not be substituted solely because the thread fits.
No universal temperature limit, reuse count or installation torque is supplied here. Confirm those requirements against the selected product specification and approved assembly instructions.
Can a nylon-insert nut be reused?
State whether reuse is intended and provide the applicable approval or acceptance criteria. Do not assume a previously used nut still meets the required locking performance.
Prepare your order brief
Attach a controlled drawing or complete product reference and list quantities by size. Define the required inspection, packaging and delivery destination. Mark unresolved details for confirmation instead of assuming a substitute. We review availability, finish, MOQ and production timing against the actual enquiry before the order is agreed.
