Fasteners for Machinery & Equipment Assembly

Prepare equipment fastener enquiries with a controlled parts list, mating threads, bolt/screw dimensions, locating and retaining parts, material, finish and inspection requirements.

Prepare your project enquiry

Start with the approved assembly drawing and parts list. Keep threaded fastening, locating pins and retaining components as distinct requirements so every order line has an identifiable reference. We organize the quotation around those inputs; joint design, installation settings and service suitability remain the responsibility of the approved equipment design.

Build a controlled parts list

List part numbers, drawing revisions, units and quantity per assembly as well as total order quantity. Identify standard bolts, screws, nuts and washers separately from locating pins, retaining rings or drawing-based parts. Mark reference-only photos and unresolved items clearly.

Check the mating interfaces

Provide the specified thread system, diameter, pitch, fit, threaded length, head/drive and point where applicable. Include the mating nut or tapped-component drawing and the approved engagement and clearance requirements. A nominal bolt size alone does not describe the complete joint.

Keep locating and retaining requirements distinct

For pins, include the type, tolerances, mating holes and retention arrangement. For retaining rings, identify shaft or bore installation and the approved groove drawing. These parts are not automatic substitutes for threaded fasteners or each other; use their own controlled references.

Confirm order-specific acceptance and packing

State material/properties, finish, inspection documents and any approved assembly or sample checks. Do not infer torque, vibration resistance or life from a property class or photograph. Agree lot identification, size separation, kit packing where required and delivery details before order confirmation.

Common purchasing questions

Does a property class determine tightening torque?

No universal torque is provided here. Use the approved assembly requirements and product-specific installation information; joint and finished-condition inputs must be reviewed.

Can I send a mixed parts list?

Yes. Identify each line by reference/revision, dimensions and quantity, with required documents and packing. Feasibility and supply scope are confirmed in the quotation; a mixed list is not a blanket availability promise.

Should pins and retaining rings be specified with bolts?

They can be included as separate enquiry lines, but need their own dimensions, mating-hole or groove information and acceptance requirements. Do not describe them only by the assembly photograph.

The approved project specification controls product selection and acceptance. This application guide does not calculate loads, prescribe installation or prove a project approval.
