Prepare your product enquiry
Prepare your pin enquiry around the complete part and mating assembly, not just a photograph or nominal diameter. We review standard and drawing-based requirements and confirm the quotation scope before an order.
Dowel pins
Provide the nominal diameter, length, tolerances and end details. Include the mating-hole drawing and required fit; identify removal features if specified. A smooth pin and a spring pin should not be treated as interchangeable.
Clevis pins
Send shank diameter, head dimensions, usable length and cross-hole diameter and position. Identify the mating bracket and the specified retaining component so the complete arrangement can be quoted.
Spring pins
Identify slotted or coiled construction explicitly. Include diameter, length, mating-hole requirements and the specified duty or product reference where applicable. Installation and assembly suitability follow the approved drawing, not a generic diameter substitution.
Split / cotter pins
State the exact pin reference or drawing, nominal size, length convention, material and finish. If supplied with another part, identify the required hole and retaining arrangement.

Common purchasing questions
Is a diameter enough to quote a pin?
No. Include pin type, length, tolerances, mating-hole requirements, material, finish and quantity. Head or cross-hole details may also be required.
Can I replace a dowel pin with a spring pin?
Do not assume interchangeability. The approved assembly requirements and mating holes must be reviewed before changing the pin construction.
Can you review a drawing-based pin enquiry?
Send a controlled drawing and order requirements. Geometry, manufacturing feasibility, inspection scope, minimum quantity and timing are confirmed in the quotation.
MOQ, production timing, material availability, finish and inspection scope are confirmed for the final specification. Product images illustrate appearance only; they do not establish dimensions, approvals or load ratings.
