Product and application brief
Describe both ends independently, including threaded lengths and any different thread or fit requirements. Provide overall length, smooth-section geometry and end details so the order is not mistaken for a cut piece of all-thread rod.
Specification checklist for quotation
These are the inputs needed to review an enquiry, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Drawing | Number, revision, units and governing reference |
| Overall geometry | Overall length, diameter and plain-centre requirements |
| First end | Complete thread callout, length and end detail |
| Second end | Complete thread callout, length and end detail |
| Material and finish | Specified mechanical requirement and surface condition |
| Order | Quantity, mating parts, inspection and destination |
Selection and compatibility
Choose this route for two defined threaded ends separated by a plain section. Use the full-thread rod route when that is what the drawing requires.
Do not assume both ends are identical or that a stud can be replaced by full-thread rod. Any change in geometry, material or thread arrangement needs review against the approved brief.
Can the two stud ends have different requirements?
Specify any differences on the drawing and identify the mating parts at each end. We review the defined geometry and report any quotation exceptions before ordering.
Prepare your order brief
Attach a controlled drawing or complete product reference and list quantities by size. Define the required inspection, packaging and delivery destination. Mark unresolved details for confirmation instead of assuming a substitute. We review availability, finish, MOQ and production timing against the actual enquiry before the order is agreed.
