Product and application brief
Use this enquiry route when the required thread extends along the shank as defined by the product specification. Send the actual reference and revision; commercial names such as hex bolt and hex screw are not a complete dimensional description.
Specification checklist for quotation
These are the inputs needed to review an enquiry, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Product reference | Exact product standard and edition, or controlled drawing |
| Size | Diameter, overall length and length-measuring convention |
| Thread | System, pitch, tolerance and full-thread requirement |
| Material and finish | Specified material / property class and approved finish |
| Order | Quantity by size, pieces or sets, packing and destination |
| Evidence | Required inspection documents and lot identification |
Selection and compatibility
Keep full-thread and partial-thread order lines separate. The same nominal diameter and length do not resolve the required threaded length or mating fit.
Do not substitute this general hex-head range for a specified structural bolt assembly. Finish, mating hardware and mechanical requirements must be reviewed together against the order brief.
Is a full-thread description enough to quote the bolt?
No. Include the product reference, diameter, length, pitch, material requirement, finish and quantity. If a drawing defines thread runout or a special end, attach it.
Prepare your order brief
Attach a controlled drawing or complete product reference and list quantities by size. Define the required inspection, packaging and delivery destination. Mark unresolved details for confirmation instead of assuming a substitute. We review availability, finish, MOQ and production timing against the actual enquiry before the order is agreed.
