Product and application brief
Tension-control bolt enquiries concern a complete assembly and its specified installation system, rather than an ordinary bolt selected by diameter alone.
Send the project requirement for twist-off bolt, nut and washer assemblies. Include the required installation method and any pre-installation verification documents requested by the project.
Specification checklist for quotation
The table defines the information to send, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved technical specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Assembly standard | Full specification, revision and assembly designation |
| Geometry | Diameter, length, head form and required spline / installation interface |
| Components | Matching nut and washer requirements |
| Finish | Approved finish for the specified assembly |
| Documentation | Assembly tests, identification and traceability |
| Quantity | Complete sets, packing units and delivery country |
Selection and compatibility
Use this page for specified tension-control assemblies. For conventional heavy hex connections, review the heavy hex product page and identify the corresponding project specification.
Do not assume A325 or A490 identifies a tension-control assembly. ASTM F3125 includes distinct assembly designations; state the exact project designation. Website illustrations are not evidence of a verified installation system.
Prepare the order brief
Send a controlled drawing or complete product reference, plus quantities by size. Identify the inspection reports, packaging and shipping requirements needed for your order. If a requirement is not settled, mark it as needing confirmation rather than assuming a substitute.
Read the structural bolts enquiry checklist before submitting your parts list.
Can a tension-control assembly replace a heavy hex assembly?
A substitution must be approved under the governing connection and installation requirements. Send the original specification and proposed change for review; we do not treat the two assemblies as universally interchangeable.
