Product and application brief
Pipe clamps hold a pipe or tube relative to a support. This entry distinguishes metal split-ring supports from block-body hydraulic pipe clamps. They are product families, not interchangeable names for a single clamp.
Product forms and reference names
| Product form / field | Reference and distinguishing details |
|---|---|
| Metal split-ring pipe clamps | Two shaped halves surround one pipe, with fastening ears and a mounting interface. Specify lined or unlined geometry and the connection drawing. |
| Standard series block clamps | STAUFF identifies its standard series with DIN 3015 Part 1. Specify the series, pipe diameter, body and hardware. |
| Heavy series block clamps | STAUFF identifies its heavy series with DIN 3015 Part 2. The series designation is not a transferable load rating. |
| Twin series block clamps | STAUFF identifies its twin series with DIN 3015 Part 3. These locate two parallel tubes; include both diameters and the selected group. |
Outside diameter, not nominal bore
Identify the actual outside diameter of the pipe or tube. Nominal bore designations and outside diameters are not interchangeable. Where insulation or a liner changes the interface, show the assembled diameter and supporting detail.
Clamp body and metal hardware
A block-clamp body may be a non-metal component. STAUFF lists PP, PA, aluminium and rubber bodies with separate metal fastening accessories. A body-only item is different from an assembly containing plates and bolts. Identify each required component.
Mounting arrangement
Distinguish a threaded boss, base plate, weld plate or rail-mounted arrangement. State the thread designation and orientation explicitly. The illustrated split-ring form is an appearance example, not a DIN 3015 block assembly or a mounting approval.

Common product questions
Is every pipe clamp a DIN 3015 clamp?
No. DIN 3015 references relate to defined block-clamp families; metal split-ring supports are a different construction.
What distinguishes DIN 3015 Parts 1, 2 and 3?
The referenced STAUFF families are standard, heavy and twin series respectively. The selected product dimensions and component list still matter.
Should I ask for a body or a complete assembly?
State this explicitly. A clamp body alone does not automatically include plates, bolts or mounting accessories.
