Define the service first
Identify lifting, securing, tensioning or a non-lifting connection. For rated service, provide the approved product requirement, working load limit and required documentation. A familiar shape or a heavy-duty label is not a rating.
Choose the exact component
For shackles, specify shape and pin arrangement. For turnbuckles, specify both end fittings, adjustment and connection dimensions. For wire rope clips, specify rope diameter / construction, clip design and the intended termination.
Describe the complete connection
Attach a drawing where mating-part clearance, load direction, orientation or assembly length matters. List associated thimbles, shackles or other parts separately instead of assuming they are included.
Request product-specific evidence
Specify marking, traceability, certification and any tests required for the actual product and service. General catalogue imagery or another manufacturer's documents are not certification of a FastenerBridge order.
Use the approved application instructions
