Product and application brief
Stainless self-drilling screw requirements must identify the body material and drill-point construction as well as head, thread and dimensions.
For corrosion-sensitive enquiries, state the required alloy designation and environment. Products can use different body / drill-point constructions; the label stainless is not a complete drilling specification.
Specification checklist for quotation
The table defines the information to send, not a guaranteed stock range or a substitute for an approved technical specification.
| Requirement | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Body material | Required stainless designation, not stainless alone |
| Point construction | Specified solid or bi-metal design and drill-point material |
| Geometry | Head / drive, diameter, length and thread |
| Support | Base material and thickness to be drilled |
| Washer / finish | Sealing assembly and any required treatment |
| Verification | Required documents, tests, order quantity and destination |
Selection and compatibility
Keep material selection separate from the roof-system and head-form requirements. A stainless roofing screw still needs a complete sealing-washer and application brief.
Confirm the drill capacity of the selected construction. Do not assume every stainless screw drills the same support material or has the same corrosion or mechanical performance.
Prepare the order brief
Send a controlled drawing or complete product reference, plus quantities by size. Identify the inspection reports, packaging and shipping requirements needed for your order. If a requirement is not settled, mark it as needing confirmation rather than assuming a substitute.
Read the self-drilling screws enquiry checklist before submitting your parts list.
Does stainless always mean an all-stainless drill point?
No. Some self-drilling products combine a stainless body with a hardened steel point. Specify the required construction and confirm the selected product's documentation.

The manufacturer reference illustrates drill-point and material distinctions; it does not establish performance of a FastenerBridge product.
