Prepare your project enquiry
For a steel-connection enquiry, start with the approved connection drawing and project specification. Match the bolt assembly, components and order documents to that requirement. We quote the requested scope; structural design, joint classification and installation acceptance remain subject to the responsible project team.
Identify the connection and assembly
Provide the connection drawing, governing specification and edition, specified assembly style and grade. Distinguish steel-to-steel bolting from foundation anchor rods. Describe complete bolt/nut/washer sets or separate components explicitly; similar sizes do not establish an approved substitution.
Close the dimensional and finish brief
List diameter, length, thread and quantity by order line. Include drawing-defined grip or joint dimensions, component requirements and permitted finish. Ask for exceptions to be identified; do not derive bolt length or coating suitability from the application image.
Carry installation and inspection inputs into the RFQ
State the project-required installation method, inspection scope, documents and any assembly-lot requirements. Bolt assembly installation and inspection are covered by the applicable governing documents; a generic torque value or appearance image is not an installation approval.
Prepare packing and project identification
Specify complete sets or separate components, quantities per size, lot labels and order-line identification. Agree report review, packing and destination before release. Mark required delivery dates as requests until confirmed in the quotation.
Quotation information checklist
These fields describe project enquiry inputs, not an engineered design or stock table.
| Requirement | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Project reference | Connection drawing/revision, governing specification and edition |
| Assembly | Style, grade, bolt/nut/washer references and complete-set scope |
| Dimensions | Diameter, length, thread and controlled joint details |
| Finish | Permitted coating and specified finished-condition requirements |
| Acceptance | Installation inputs, inspection scope, records and lot identity |
| Order | Quantity by line, packing, destination and requested delivery terms |
Common purchasing questions
Can I select structural bolts from the scene image?
No. The representative scene is not a connection drawing, load rating or installation detail. Use the approved project requirements and exact assembly reference.
Should anchor rods be included as the same product?
List them separately. Foundation anchor-rod enquiries need their own drawing, geometry, grade and matching hardware requirements.
Does an assembly grade replace the full specification?
No. Also specify assembly style, dimensions, components, finish, inspection and project-required edition. Any alternative must be explicitly reviewed.
The approved project specification controls product selection and acceptance. This application guide does not calculate loads, prescribe installation or prove a project approval.
